The South African Social Security Agency (SASSA) in Mpumalanga is currently traveling to the Fernie two Neighborhood Hall in Mpuluzi to render providers for the community.

SASSA will be rendering providers which include new social grant applications, change of payment method, customer care enquiries, plus the Social Relief of Distress (SRD) COVID-19 grant enquiries.

In a press release, the agency mentioned it can be alarmed in regards to the higher variety of people depending on social grants for survival.
“The aim from the Integrated Registration Outreach Programme [ICROP] is to reach-out into a significant range of clients/beneficiaries to access SASSA services.

“This is certainly because of the lack of infrastructure at Fernie and there is no completely functional office focused on service the area on a regular basis. The company level developed for intervention encounters a large influx of potential beneficiaries, which makes it tough for that office to attend to all people who pay a visit to a service point.

“In this reach-out programme, SASSA will mobilise a lot more resources to enable the servicing of all prospects and raise entry to Social Assistance services,” the agency said.
